SubGalaxy is a 24/7 YouTube live stream that shows the real-time subscriber counts of the top 500 YouTube channels, celebrates milestones and lets viewers ask for any channel in the live chat.
How SubGalaxy uses Google and YouTube data
The SubGalaxy application is an internal tool operated only by Vibentia Media. It signs in only with the Google account that owns the SubGalaxy YouTube channel and uses the YouTube Data API to:
- read public channel statistics (name, avatar, subscriber, view and video counts) to show them on the stream;
- set the title, description and tags of our own live broadcast;
- read our own live chat to find the channel a viewer asks about and reply in chat;
- upload short milestone videos (Shorts) to our own SubGalaxy channel.
It is not offered to the public, nobody else signs in to it, and no data is sold or shared.
